Polish-German Art

The visual arts artists from Wieliczka and Bergkamen have met for the eight time. This time the International Art Open Air took place in June in our German partner town.

Eight Wieliczka-based artists together with their friends from Bergkamen representing the Creactive Group "Sohle1" worked in the Gallery of the Civic Museum.

The German press dedicated lots of attention to this international project and reported it extensively.

The subject of this year's open-air was related to the nature, to the water (there's a large port on the canal in Bergkamen) and its motto was "Life - I love you".

The culmination of the one week long creative work was an exhibition in the "Marina" Port during a big open-air event attended by several dozen hundred thousand specators.

The artists who partook in the 8th International Art Open Air were: Elżbieta Kalwajtys,Bożena Uczyńska-Fularska, Anna Galas-Dropińska, Ewa Świderska, Barbara Borowiec, Magdalena Okońska-Duda, Józef Kowalczyk and Dariusz Młyński.

The group's guardian and translator was Marekn Filipek, worker of the Wieliczka Town and Municipality Office
