Taking advantage of the warm holiday weather, the construction and modernization works concerning the roads and the pavements in the area of our Municipality planned for this year are being carried out.The stage of activities related to the reconstruction of the Złota and Jagielskiego Streets in Wieliczka can be described as advanced - as is the case of modernization of the access road to the agrarian grounds in Janowice. The value of investment carried out in Janowice is approximately 250 thousand PLN and the sum has been allotted from the Municipal budget.

Renovation works on the district roads passing through the Wieliczka Municipality, financed out of the Wieliczka District budget and Wieliczka Municipality budget are also under way.

Presently the works related to pavement construction at Jedynak Street are drawing to an end.The investment shall allow safer pedestrian movement on the very busy street, at which the District police headquarters are located.

Because of excessive concentration of car traffic on the district road Wieliczka - Myślenice and the accompanying threat to the safety of the pedestrians, the Wieliczka municipality has allotted 440 thousand PLN to pavement construction along with dehydration on over one kilometer long fragment of this road in Gorzków.

The Wieliczka District participates in the costs of the undertaking.

The end of the works is anticipated around half way through September this year.

In relation to the investments being under way in our municipality, it is worthwhile to mention the agreement concluded in the recent weeks concerning extension of the communal cemetery in Wieliczka.Some 620 thousand PLN has been allotted in order to construct new alleys,waterworks sewerage system network as well as fencing.

The planned deadline for the realization of the investment is around June next year.

During the recent weeks the following tenders have been settled and contracts concluded concerning:

- the pavement at the Czarnochowska Street from the side of the Orzechowa Street

- rebuilding of the road no 150 in Byszyce

- construction of a parking bay in Mała Wieś along the voivodship road n 964.
