From 3rd to 7th September, as a part of the 2nd International Ancient Music Festival, Wieliczka had as the guests musicians who brought nearer the time of the past ages. There were the elements introducing the past times, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque: a fencing demonstration,an exhibition of the feminine dresses as well as the presentation of the olden strings instruments.
The Wieliczka audience listened to the organ and harpsichord compositions as well as to the sounds of the medieval songs. Performed: Roman Perucki, Władysław Kłosiewicz, The Unicorn Ensemble /Vienna/ directed by Michael Posch, the participants and the pedagogues of the Ancient Music Master Workshops under the direction of Agata Sapiecha and Mark Caudle.
The patronage over the festival organised by the Tourism and Culture Centre in Wieliczka has been taken by:his Eminence Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz - Metropolitan Bishop, Consul General of the Austrian Republic in Cracow - Christophe Ceska, The Mayor of WieliczkaArtur Kozioł and the Wieliczka Foreman, Jacek Juszkiewicz.
